I should probably quote Dream Theater in the credits for “the Path of Blood”.
I was washing the dishes and listening to this song more than one year ago, when lightning struck me: one of the most important concepts in the whole novel, the importance of blood and blood ties, was born right then. And it was amazing, the way it worked and fit perfectly with the whole plot concept. It was as if it had always been there, and it all was born while listening to this song, especially the first few words.
