PoB - Not-quite-petty arguments
Assessed around 3K more words on Nov 23rd. This was a pretty busy day and I only had roughly an hour to work on the revision before going to sleep. Ack. But again, such is the life at the evil day job. I could try bringing with me a few pages to work upon during lunch break though. This will be an experiment for tomorrow.
After the infamous neverending lunch scene, I stumbled upon a couple of the scenes that likely will need the most work. During first draft I moved two scenes that I had written before these much later, so now there are consistency errors and I’m not quite sure about some of the twists. One thing I really like, though, is Erthel and Faurel arguing, in this case over her rushed decisions and general recklessness. I love the dynamic and chemistry between them, and I could write them for hours. The hard thing is letting them argue without falling into the dreaded “characters bicker and nothing changes” trap, of course.
