PoB - Nothing ever goes well

Resumed the manuscript assessment phase on Dec 2nd with around 6K words.

There are a couple of really muddled scenes in this phase of the novel, but I think I know more or less what it will take to fix them (mainly filling a couple of gaping, frightening worldbuilding holes). The scene with the whole “kiss of blood” ritual between Faurel and Lizthel is still fun, but it also gives me an idea of how much I rushed the closure of the romantic subplot at the end of the book. This is a big, big issue that I’m not sure how I’m going to solve yet.

EDIT: Oh, and the “nothing ever goes well” in the post title is relevant to the context of the scenes I read and assessed in this session, as is usual with my post titles. I just realized it could be read as some emo, self-pitying title along the lines of “oooh nothing ever works with my novel oooh what should I do I’m such a victim of fate sob sob sigh blaaaaaaaaargh”. And it’s NOT meant to.

You know, just to be clear.
